O Lord, support us all the day long of this troublesome life,
until the shadows lengthen and evening comes,
the busy world is still, the fever of life over, and our work done.
Then Lord, in your mercy, grant us a safe haven,
a holy rest, a peace at the last,
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Watch dear Lord,
over those who wake or work or weep tonight,
and give your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend the sick, O Lord Christ:
rest your weary ones;
bless your dying ones:
pity your afflicted ones;
shield your joyous ones.
And do all this for your love's sake. Amen
